Our Process

We want to make sure your pet photography experience is all that you hope it to be, so we’ve laid out the process for you.

Please contact us with any other questions you have.

First you’ll head over to the Contact Us page and fill out the form. Please let us know any questions you might have initially.

We will then follow up with you and answer any questions you have and if ready get your session scheduled.

During our phone consultation we will discuss the details of who will be part of the photo session and any specifics on what you’re wanting. We will discuss which Investment Collection you would like to get. Together we’ll decide on a location and set a date/time for your photographs to be taken. Your booking session fee is due at this time to reserve your space.

We will discuss any particular photographs I’ve created in the past that you’re drawn to, so when looking through the Portfolio or Soul Tails™ posts, please take note of ones you really like.

I’ll also want to know about your pet; their likes and dislikes, whether they are shy or timid, if they know basic commands like sit and stay, and if they’re comfortable around strangers.

I want to know your animal’s story. How did they become part of your family or organization? So be ready to answer that question!

Any other questions or concerns you have regarding the process or photography products will be answered as well.

Photo Session

I will meet you at your home or planned location on the day and time we’ve scheduled. If there is inclement weather happening that day and it will disrupt our session, I will call you that morning for a reschedule. Please be sure all animals and people who are scheduled to be part of the photo session are on time and ready.

I will spend some time with your animal(s) getting them comfortable with me and with my camera as we chat. This naturally leads into the process of photographing your dog, cat, or other pet or rescue.

I will take as many images as needed based on our consultation conversation and investment choice you’ve made.

It’s always a good idea to get your puppy or dog tired before a photography session. This will allow them to be able to listen and not have pent up energy while trying to grab those timeless images. Don’t worry, I’ve never had a dog that’s too tired from a pre-session romp to play and be themselves at the photoshoot!

Your Online Gallery

Within 2 weeks of your photo session you will receive a link to your private online gallery. You will have 1 week to review your images and decide on the prints and products you would like to order.
